The Church Fathers on this verse

One Church Father comments on this verse

John Chrysostom

4th centuryChurch Father

He invited, "Enter, come in," and I had arranged the dwelling and the spot for the camels. When he arrived, I prepared the camels with saddles, provided straw and feed, and offered water for him and his companions to wash their feet. Such was the extent of misguided concern for hospitality among the people.
