Upon the servant’s inquiry about taking his master's son if the girl refused to accompany him, Abraham cautioned, “Be careful not to return my son there! The Lord God of heaven and the God of earth brought me from my father's home and the land of my birth. He spoke to me and promised, saying, ‘I will give this land to you and your offspring.’ He shall send His angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from that place. If the woman is unwilling to come with you into this land, you are released from this oath. Pay close attention to this matter. You must not choose a wife from another man’s lineage. If she embraces Christianity, it will bring you honor; however, if she declines to accept the faith, do not let the desire for marriage sway you from your beliefs.

This is the essence of the teaching. Abraham directed his servant to seek those willing to follow him, while those who resisted should not be pursued, nor should his son return to that land. The Lord, who had led him from his homeland, would undoubtedly provide guidance for those eager to discover and unite with the girl’s spirit. As a prophet, Abraham conveyed this regarding his son's future actions and as a moral guide encouraged trust in the Lord, who supports those striving to deepen their faith.
