John Chrysostom

4th centuryChurch Father

Have you not received my message, says Joseph, that understanding such matters is not unique to human knowledge? Thus, do not blame the wise men; they could never grasp what can only be made known through divine revelation. Joseph also declared, “The dream of the Pharaohs is one.”

Ephraem the Syrian

4th centuryChurch Father

Pharaoh shared his dreams before Joseph and his court, and without delay, he received the interpretation of these dreams both from Joseph and through divine revelation.

Ignatij (Briantchaninow)

19th centuryChurch Father

He told Pharaoh that both of his dreams share the same significance; they represent a singular vision. God is revealing to Pharaoh His divine plan and purpose.
