The adversaries of the sanctuary took the bold step of executing. Yet the prophetic message reveals that all these events occurred by divine allowance. As a consequence of their transgressions, God acted with severity against them, allowing their foes to breach the walls, set the homes ablaze, and bring sorrow to husbands and wives. Concerning these matters, the prophet declares:
