Cyrill of Alexandria

The law includes a provision regarding a woman who bleeds, as well as one who endures a relentless flow that renders her impure. Just as every vessel, bed, garment, and anyone who touches or approaches her becomes unclean due to the man who emits seed, so too is she rendered impure. Similarly, she is cleansed in the same manner, through the washing with water, the offering of turtledoves, and through atonement by the priest. (See Lev. 15:1-15)
