Cyril. We will observe the Sabbath in Christ, finding rest by ceasing our worldly activities and being free from earthly anxieties. Instead, we delight in ‘the Lord’, as it is written (Psalm 36:4), sharing in His chosen inheritance. God expresses this to the holy mystic Moses in the Book of Leviticus, saying (Leviticus 25:2-10). Are you aware that the law permits you to cultivate the land and tend to the vineyard only until the seventh year? In the seventh year, however, we are commanded to let go of these responsibilities. As we embrace our role as Sabbath-keepers in Christ, we find solace in relinquishing earthly concerns and turning away from worldly distractions.
