Theophylact of Bulgaria

They had not yet invited Him into their dwellings, but instead, they personally brought the afflicted, pleading to touch even the edge of His robe. The miracle performed for the woman with the issue of blood had gained widespread recognition and instilled in them a deeper faith.

Bogolepow D.P.

19th centuryCommentator

When Christ arrived on the shores of Gennesaret by the Sea of Galilee, news of His return quickly spread throughout the region. The residents of the surrounding towns and villages began to bring their ill loved ones on beds to His presence, placing them in open areas, pleading for Him to at least touch the fringe of His robe. Those who came into contact with Him were restored to health. However, Jesus set His course toward Capernaum and soon reached the city.

Gladkow B.I.

Upon Jesus' arrival on land, he was quickly encircled by the people of that area. They recognized him and rushed to communicate his presence to the nearby towns, gathering all the ailing to bring to him.

Michail (Lusin)

In the region of Gennesaret, Jesus Christ healed numerous individuals suffering from ailments (see note on Matthew 14:34-36).
