Moreover, only the priesthood was permitted to partake of the sin offering; the sacred body of Christ is reserved for those who are not tainted by sin, specifically for the elect and the pure. It is written, ‘But ye are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation’ (1 Pet. 2:9).
