Now, it is said among many that you can be compared to a mother, with the saying, "As a mother is, so is her daughter." You, the daughter of your mother who abandoned her husband and children, share a bond with your sisters, who too have forsaken their husbands and children. The common adage used against you conveys a powerful truth: your mother, referred to as Hittite, symbolizes madness and represents the distractions of this world that lead the soul into ruin, severing its connection to its true spouse, which clearly pertains to the word and teachings of God.

Moreover, your sisters are identified as Sodom and Samaria. Sodom suggests a life of pagan indulgence, while Samaria implies the traps set by heretical teachings. The reference to your sisters' sisters who have rejected their husbands and children poses a perplexing question: What other sisters did Sodom and Samaria have that would connect them to Jerusalem? We must inquire what spouses and offspring Sodom and Samaria abandoned. Perhaps we recognize that those who wander are unsteady, swaying as they stray from the truth, susceptible to every fleeting doctrine. They venture from one falsehood to another, realizing their efforts have been futile with the first, only to chase the next deception in a futile cycle.

The saying that is widely acknowledged is that a daughter resembles her mother. Furthermore, God has designated the Hittite woman as the mother of the heavenly Jerusalem.
