You have reached the culmination of your wickedness, which is rooted in violence; yet you have forgotten Me, says the Lord God. Behold, I will raise My hand against your deeds and your blood that has been among you. How will your heart endure, and how will your hands prevail in the days when I act upon you? God proclaims that in His expression of wrath as both Lord and Judge, He will strike with His hands. Because you have forgotten Me and have failed to remember My blessings and commandments, I will bring such disasters upon you that your hands will falter, and your heart, overwhelmed with confusion, will despair of salvation. Therefore, He clearly affirms the truth of His words. I am the Lord, and I will accomplish this; the authority of the One who proclaims it assures its validity. When you recognize who has uttered this, that alone should be sufficient to convince you of its truth.
