Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

For this reason I exist, declares the Lord, and I will act towards you based on your hostility and jealousy, which you have shown due to your animosity against them; in other words, you will endure the consequences of your bitterness and disdain. I will reveal Myself to you during your judgment, and you will recognize that I am the Lord. I will make Myself known to you, so that you do not attribute these sufferings to any other source, but rather understand My authority, allowing you to benefit from this understanding.
