So that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the air, and the beasts of the field, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the ground, and all men that are upon the face of the earth, shall be moved at my presence: and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the hedges shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

It will come to pass on that day when Gog will descend upon the land of Israel, declares the Lord God; My anger will ignite in My fury. Ezekiel 38:19. In the blaze of My wrath, I assure you, there will be great fear in the land of Israel. The Lord refers to the magnitude of this event as fear because it is through dread that we accept all things, those such as the tremors of an earthquake and the accounts of extraordinary miracles. It is not unimaginable that earthquakes came as a means of divine judgment against the wicked and vile. When we encounter terms like wrath, fury, and zeal for vengeance, we should interpret them with a heavenly understanding, as they are often used in a worldly sense to denote punishment.

The Almighty states that not only human beings but also fish, birds, creeping creatures, and wild beasts will tremble at the occurrence of these events; the mountains will be moved, and the walls will crumble. This demonstrates that God refers to the very earthquake as fear; for this fear, whether articulated or unspoken, generates terror, toppling mountains, filling valleys with rubble, destroying walls, and laying cities to waste; truly, experience serves as our greatest teacher.
