Cyrill of Alexandria
The law includes a provision regarding a woman experiencing a hemorrhage, as well as one suffering from a persistent discharge that renders her unclean. Likewise, just as any vessel, bed, garment, or man who comes into contact with her or approaches her becomes defiled by the one who releases seed, so too is she rendered unclean. The process of her purification is carried out similarly through the washing with water, the offering of turtledoves, and atonement by the priest. (See Lev. 15:1-15)
