The law further includes a stipulation regarding a woman experiencing menstrual bleeding and one suffering from a persistent discharge that renders her unclean. Just as every container, bed, garment, and any person who comes into contact with or approaches her becomes unclean due to the essence of life she emits, she too becomes unclean. Similarly, she is purified through a process involving the washing with water, the sacrifice of turtledoves, and atonement performed by the priest. (See Lev. 15:1-15)
