Let us consider how Scripture often portrays concepts in the most elevated manner. In the Word, activities deemed necessary and beneficial are referred to as 'business,' whereas those that relate to divine service, as highlighted throughout history, are termed 'the business of works.' This phrase suggests that engagement in divine service is in some way superior to other pursuits. Just as prudence in practical matters contrasts with idleness in general, so too does diligence in the most exalted and commendable endeavors contrast with lesser tasks.
