This would have been realized had the Jews desired it. However, their furious opposition to the Lord, akin to rabid dogs, resulted in the prophecy remaining unfulfilled. Thus, the prophecy was preserved as true; for the Almighty had previously declared through the Prophet Jeremiah, stating, I will make a river for the tongue and the kingdom at the end, that I may raise it up and plant it. And they shall do evil before Me, that will not hearken unto My voice: and I will repent of the good things which I have spoken to them to do (Jeremiah 18:9, 10). Consequently, the Jews bear the responsibility for not accepting the blessings foretold in the prophecy.
