Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

It is not you, declares the Lord, who deserve redemption; rather, it is the nations that you have caused to slander Me who require healing. The dishonor will be eradicated when My might is demonstrated through your deliverance. For when they recognize the greatness of My name and see that it is enough to assist My people, they will glorify and exalt My reign. The nations will come to realize that I am the Lord God, when I am made holy in you in their sight.
