    Christ Himself is the way to the Father, and there is no other. John Chrysostom explains the three words: as the way, He leaves no need for a guide; as the truth, His words are not false; as the life, not even death can keep the disciples from Him. Theophylact of Bulgaria concludes that Father and Son have equal power.
