    The commentators read the verse as the angel's confirmation of his message to Mary. As a sign he points to Elizabeth, old and barren, who has conceived. Innocentius of Kherson notes that for God utterance and action are one. Hence, as Michail (Lusin) concludes, the Virgin's conception is assured, for "wherever God wills, He transcends the order of nature."
